Their Story

In August of 1986 we opened our historic 1870 Carriage House to serve people in the classic Bed & Breakfast tradition. Thousands of guests later, we continue to offer our famous hospitality in this, our family business. Our two children, both grown up now, worked and helped mom in the Carriage House while in their teens. For nearly 140 years the Carriage House has been the home of pleasant memories for generations of owners, their families, and you, our guests.

When we opened in the fall of 1986 we asked ourselves these questions: "If we don't go into business, how many people sharing their anniversaries, honeymoons, graduations and weddings would we never meet? How many smiles would we never see? How many lives would we never touch?" For us, the cost of missed friendships was too high. We opened our doors and never looked back. Our family and our guests have been greatly blessed as a result!
